First-Year Testing, Consulting and Advising Program (FTCAP)
The First-Year Testing, Consulting and Advising Program (FTCAP), conducted by Penn State's Division of Undergraduate Studies, assists new first-year students in evaluating their educational plans by providing them, prior to initial registration, with a comprehensive program of testing and individualized educational planning and academic advising.
Information on testing and the FTCAP program is available from the Advising Center.
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is offered for entering students immediately before the start of the fall semester. Orientation is a student-facilitated program, led by upperclass students who will assist new students with their transition to Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Here first-year and transfer students will have the opportunity to meet returning students as well as faculty and staff in small group settings. A special program is offered to Adult Students that targets their special interests.
