New Employees: Getting an Access ID
Below is the procedure for new employees to get an Access Account userid and password (also referred to as an “Access ID”). Please contact Caroline Chronowski if you have any questions about this process.
- The new employee needs to print and fill out an Access Account application. The application can be found at http://aset.its.psu.edu/accounts/accountsforms/AccessAccountForm.pdf .
- Once the form is filled out and signed by the supervisor (if necessary), it should be faxed by the hiring department or the campus business office to the ITS Accounts office at University Park at 814-865-9289. It takes about 3 days for the ITS Accounts office to process the application.
- After 3 days, the new employee needs to use a Signature Station to get his or her userid and password. There is a designated staff person for each Signature Station; the new employee should contact the appropriate person in advance to make sure they are available to assist. The employee should bring photo identification (such as a driver’s license) with them.
