AutoCAD Training

Our premier AutoCAD training courses are concise and intensive to help the busy professional become more productive. Autodesk works closely with industry to set standards for course content so you can learn the software features and commands that are most critical to your workplace performance. Penn State Wilkes-Barre has a unique partnership with the Pennsylvania College of Technology to offer these courses, which are taught by Autodesk-approved instructors and combine lecture, demonstration, and hands-on instruction.

Workshops/courses include but are not limited to:

  • Applications in AutoCAD Level I, II, and III
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Revit Architecture Essentials
  • 3D Applications in AutoCAD

Applications in AutoCAD—Level 1 (32 PDHs)

This course will provide the AutoCAD user with the tools necessary to comprehend the commands available within AutoCAD. Topics include: display commands, CAD tools, basic draw commands, basic edit commands,layers, CAD construction techniques, crosshatching, grips, introduction to layouts and plotting basics. AutoCAD 2015 software will be used.
 
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 26, May 28, June 2 & June 4 2015
Time: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Location: Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Athletics & Recreation Building, Room G101
Cost: $825 per person plus $82 for textbook (same textbook used for both courses)
Instructor: Craig Miller

Applications in AutoCAD—Level 2 (16 PDHs)

This course will provide participants an understanding of AutoCAD’s advanced productivity tools. Topics include AutoCAD’s layout environment, effective dimensioning techniques, working with dimension styles and dimension style families, creating symbol libraries, creating a bill of materials with attributes, and page setup options. AutoCAD 2015 software will be used. 

Prerequisites: Applications in AutoCAD Level 1 or equivalent work experience.
Dates: June 9 & 11, 2015
Time: 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
Location: Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Athletics & Recreation Building, Room G101
Cost: $499 per person plus $82 for textbook (same textbook used for both courses)
